Edgcote 1469 – A Guide for Wargamers

This 48 page full colour guide contains information of interest to wargamers and heraldry buffs alike, as well as those with a general interest in the period.

The booklet has been produced by Society Chair, Graham Evans, author of “The Battle of Edgcote1469 – Re-evaluating the evidence”, and Society member Richard Lindley, who is also a member of The Heraldry Society. It contains a brief history of the Edgcote campaign, information on how the armies were raised and fought, as well as 60 armorials for men who have been identified as taking part in the campaign, together with their likely affinity groupings. This is the first time a concerted effort has been made to go beyond the “big names” and casualty lists to try and work out who most likely have taken part.

In addition to the historical information the booklet contains a simple set of wargame rules and scenario guidelines for refighting the battle.

Unlike our more recent publications this is not available through Amazon, but only for the Society. We have produced a limited print run of 250 copies of this unique publication.

The booklet costs £5 for members, or £7.50 for non-members. It is available at Society meetings or at our stand at wargame and history conventions. Add £2.50 per copy for postal orders in the UK. For overseas postage contact us for a quotation. Orders can be placed by emailing wildrat1460@gmail.com. Payment by Bank Transfer or PayPal.
